Recently here at NerdHammer we have been trying to embrace the world of OS X. The attempt was futilely made a couple of years with a 17inch MacBook Pro running one of the many cat-inspired OS'es; Tiger, Lion, Thundercat... Sorry it has been a while and I lost track. Dual booting with BootCamp was annoying to say the least but at the end of the day I always went Windows heavy and never really took advantage of the OS. Recently in 2016 after the advice from a good friend I decided to give El Capitan a shot. While a little confusing in the first 5minutes, Apple has really made an attempt to integrate software appearance and functionality for those of us who are non-mac users. So instead of trying to re-invent the wheel what I decided to do is hunt out some software that would give me the look and feel of Windows but with the crisp processing and software integration that is El Capitan.
Insert HyperDoc... A simple to install piece of technology that converts your windows into the look and feel of Microsoft's AeroPeek. Resizing, multi bundled minimized windows that punch out of the dock icon when hovering and other tools. Out of all the tools that I installed to enhance my productivity on this OS; Bartender, Alfred, CleanMyMac3, I have to say this one really stands out. You can get it through the App Store or direct from the developer. I chose to get it from the developer because rumor has it, more features! Check out the video below that will walk you in detail through the features and the install.
Feel free to ask questions in the comments section and I will try to answer the best I can. Side Note: I am using "Parallels" for those pesky apps that still haven't made a decent jump to OS X i.e Microsoft Lync.
